Just TWO more days, friends . . . TWO!
Pour yourself a good glass of wine and just remind yourselves, two.more.days.
As Shania would say, let's go girls!
And well since Wednesdays generally aren't the most exciting days of the week, I thought we could all use a little happy today so this weeks What's Up Wednesday is full of happy things like cookies, music and things to make you smile.
Once a month I link up with some of my favorite bloggers, Mel, Sheaffer and Shay to share all about what we're up to this month!
Here's are the topics - let's have some fun!
What We're Eating This Week
Cookies! Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies to be exact :)
Y'all, these are so yummy and EASY! This was the first time I made them and by the look of my empty cookie jar I can honestly say that they were a BIG hit. They make A TON, like 40-50, so spread the love and bring them to work, school, your neighbor, friends, etc! Everyone will love you for it.

What I'm Reminiscing About
For Christmas we went back to Washington State to where Taylor's family lives and spent a week with his sweet family. These pictures were from Christmas morning!!! How beautiful is it?!?! It snowed on Christmas Eve through the morning and this is what we woke up to . . . talk about a magical Christmas. On Christmas morning we all bundled up and headed outside for a big ole' snowball fight - I love these people!
What I'm Loving
Okay I know that I've posted this like 3 times already since The Bachelor has started, but YOU GUYS! If you're not reading Sheaffer's Bachelor Recaps by now, you really need to be!!! They are just down right funny, like make your stomach hurt, fall to the floor, pee your pants kind of funny. I honestly thought of all of these different things that I could've posted for 'what I'm loving', because let's be real - I love a lot of things . . . BUT today is Wednesday and she has one live on her blog now, so PLEASE do yourself a favor and go read it!
This is honestly what I'm LOVING this month.

What We've Been Up To
We've been training for a HALF MARATHON! On Sunday I actually posted on Instagram telling y'all that Taylor & I have been training for a half marathon and I shared a little backstory about my running and the condition that caused me to stop running for a while. You can read my little story on Instagram here!
The half marathon we're running is going to be in Waco in May - Chip + Joanna Gaines are putting it on and we are so pumped to run it! I talk a little bit about our training on Instagram, but we're taking it real slow to start. Most of what we are doing is running 2 minutes, walking for 1 minute.
If you're interested in running or just want a simple program to start getting back out there, feel free to reach out and I'll share what I'm doing!
What I'm Dreading
Ummm . . . I don't think I could have found anything more accurate. You guys! I'm just trying to recover from the holidays, or as I like to refer to it "fluffy season"
I can't even think about putting on a swimsuit any time soon #lordhelpme
What I've Been Working On
Well that my friends is a secret.
I've been working on something super special and near + dear to my heart but I can't tell you what it is, because it's a SECRET!
There is still a lot of work to do and a lot of things that need to happen before I share, but just know that I am all sorts of excited and cannot wait until it's time to share this little surprise!
Hint: God Sized Dream
Any guesses as to what I have up my sleeve?!?!
Comment below with your best guesses!
What I'm Excited About
EEEK! Two of my very best friends are COMING TO SEE ME at the end of March and I can't even tell how you how ridiculously excited I am. These are my girls and I haven't seen either of them since my wedding back in September of 2017, and now they're going to be here in March and I just can't wait.
Love these girls!
What I'm Watching/Reading
Well, I'm gonna talk about what I've been reading, because what I've been watching is the same old stuff I always watch - my favorites: Grey's Anatomy, Friends + Fixer Upper. You can almost bet that if I am watching TV than it will be one of those three shows, unless Taylor is home - then we're watching How I Met Your Mother, because he LOVES that show.
But anyways, back to what I've been reading - I just finished the book You're Made for a God Sized Dream by Holly Gerth. You may remember a few weeks ago I shared my story of how I found this book, and if you haven't read it you can read it here, but I was so excited to read it and I just finished it this last week.
I totally and completely LOVED the book. After every chapter/section Holly offers a guide with questions to help you reflect on what you just read and then throughout the book there are questions and areas to write your ideas and plans down. Now, I am a casual reader. To be honest I love easy, breezy books that I can just read and not put much thought into . . . however, don't get me wrong, I LOVE good deep books where you do have to think and really taking your time reading it. This book is one of those - so I decided to read it through twice. The first time to really just take in everything that Holly says and to just soak it all up and then the second time to really focus on myself, my dream and how to connect those to the purpose of the book.
So this week I am going to start reading it again, this time much slower than the first, and once I'm finished I'll share a more in depth review of the book and how it has impacted me!
What I'm Listening To
Alright y'all, I honestly considered doing a single post just on music today, because there are so many songs that I just LOVE right now and I feel like I have to share them with you! So thank goodness this is part of What's Up Wednesday, because I'm sparing you from an entire post focused on music - but hey, that wouldn't be so bad right? Who doesn't love music?
Anyways, let's get to it - I'm actually going to post the videos below so be sure to take a listen!
These are honestly some of my most played songs right now - I just think they're SO GOOD. And I clearly like Brett Eldridge + Thomas Rhett . . . can you blame me!?
Comment below & let me know which of the songs is your fav! Or if you're like me and love all of them!!!
What I'm Wearing
Although if you've ever wondered what I'm like at my house, this pretty much sums it up.
But this is actually what I'm wearing:
Do y'all know about Havaianas Flip Flops? Since it's warm here or warmer than Washington, I've been wearing mine a lot recently.
I actually got my first pair last year and I totally adore them - I used to buy the cheap, like 2 dollar, flips flops from Old Navy and I wore those for years. But then a friend last year introduced me to Havaianas and I was sold. They're basically just a higher quality flip flop, which sounds funny, because they are simply flip flops. But they really don't wear easily - I've had mine for a year now and I wear them A LOT and they still feel new to me.
The basic style, which is the one I have is $26 on the Havaianas's website , but I think they're totally worth the price. If you can't already tell, I really love mine.
Grab yours here.
What I'm Doing This Weekend
This weekend is Magnolia's Semi Annual Warehouse Sale, which is when they put out all of their discounted, over stock, damaged, etc. items at mega discounted prices! How amazing does that sound?
My sweet friend and I have been thinking about heading up there to check it out, but we'll see! Other than that I think it's going to be a pretty low key weekend around here - I've got some Christmas decorations to put away and I think I'm feeling some spring cleaning happening!
What I'm Looking Forward To Next Month
The Houston Rodeo starts next month and all of our friends here keep telling us that we have to go! So we're going to take a weekend and head down to Houston to experience our first Houston Rodeo! Yeehaw!
What Else Is New
Well my sweet baby sister is getting married in 2 1/2 months!!! We've been busy, busy getting ready for the wedding. We're ordering my bridesmaid dress, Taylor's suit, shoes, setting hair appointments and doing all of the fun wedding stuff!
And that's it sweet friends! I hope I brought a little joy to your Wednesday!
